Born in a humble Indian middle-class family in Cherlapalem village, Thorrur Mandal, Mahabubabad District, to Yakaiah and Mangathara, Manoj Kumar Chittimalla rose from rural roots to become one of the most inspiring young social leaders of his generation. His educational journey, from government schools in his village to completing a B.Tech in Information Technology from CBIT, Osmania University, Hyderabad, instilled in him the conviction that education is the most powerful weapon to transform lives.
While working as a Software Engineer in the corporate sector, Manoj’s vision went far beyond personal success. Drawing inspiration from his own schooling hardships, he founded the 100 SMILES Charity Foundation, a movement dedicated to uplifting rural education and bringing hope to underprivileged children. Through this initiative, he and his team of volunteers have provided infrastructure, learning materials, and holistic support to schools, touching the lives of thousands of students.
Manoj’s leadership extends beyond his foundation. As a key member of the Youth Parliament movement initiated by Dr. Jayaprakash Narayan (IAS), he has been actively involved in shaping policy recommendations on Agriculture, Education, Youth Empowerment, and Citizen Rights. His speeches and ground-level activities have inspired thousands of youth across India to take up social causes and work towards nation-building.
During the COVID-19 outbreak, while fear kept many confined, Manoj dared to walk into remote villages, spreading awareness about safety measures, distributing ration kits, groceries, and essential supplies to families in distress. His tireless work in those uncertain times earned him immense respect and positioned him as a true people's leader.
Today, Manoj stands as a beacon of hope for the younger generation — a leader who combines vision, courage, and compassion. His journey reflects the power of resilience and responsibility, proving that one individual, with unwavering determination, can inspire thousands and bring smiles to millions.
